Writing project for next week:

Consider this phrase from last week’s reading assignment (Nesse and Stearns, 2008):

“Bodies are vulnerable to disease – and remarkably resilient – precisely because they are not machines built from a plan. They are, instead, bundles of compromises shaped by natural selection in small increments to maximize reproduction, not health.”

From what you have read in this week’s and last week’s assigned reading, what do you think they mean by “bundles of compromises?” Please craft a one page written response, and give examples. The assignment will be due next tuesday.
