Groups 4,5, and 6 PRESENT THIS TUESDAY (SEPTEMBER 28th). Since this is a group effort, I would recommend that each individual in the group take part in part of the presentation. Powerpoint is not necessary. Most of the articles have more than one idea or topic that can be discussed. (However, it is not necessary to discuss every bit of every paper.) Groups can decide how to present and whether the study or review can be critiqued in any way.
Makes sure you include the following:
Title and authors
The topic of the paper
Why the paper might be interesting for a class in evolutionary medicine
Proximate and Ultimate hypotheses for the trait in question
Main hypothesis plus alternative hypothesis presented in the paper
Evidence for each idea – strength of the evidence
Implications
Conclusions -is this a good paper or not? Does it add to our understanding of human health and disease?
